HIDDEN NORTH ADVENTURES is a local travel agency based in Leh, the capital of Ladakh, and is active since the late 1990-ies. It specializes in trekking and tours in Ladakh.

​The agency is managed by Tashi Chotak Lonchey and his Italian wife Cristina Martinelli. Both speak fluently several languages (Ladakhi, Hindi, Urdu, English, Italian, German, French). In their spare free-time, they are active naturalists, and amateur photographers who love to observe the unique flora and fauna of Ladakh together with their son.

Domestic and foreign guests experience with HIDDEN NORTH ADVENTURES a remarkable holiday in the Indian Himalayas through adequate tourism in respect with the social, environmental, and cultural settings of this amazing high-altitude region in the Indian Himalayas.

The agency is working in a selected network of local, domestic, and international service providers. HIDDEN NORTH ADVENTURES is committed to benefit the local service suppliers as well as to preserve the region’s environment and rich culture.

Dedicated Local Staff

We are happy to inform our dear customers that our entire staff comprises of local adventure enthusiasts from different parts of Ladakh. During the summer months, we employ them as guides, cooks, helpers, porters, etc. so that you can fully enjoy a hassle-free Ladakh trip. 

HIDDEN NORTH ADVENTURES does not employ people from outside of Ladakh for its treks and tours. It is our commitment to benefit the local service suppliers as well as the local market. Our network of trekking and mountaineering staff comprises of interested young locals as well as experienced staff members. They know the area, are well trained, friendly, and reliable.

After cleaning all the gear, the staff members enjoy quality time together.
